Ingredients List
The Build:
- 1 Long (30 cm) Soft Italian or white sub bread loaf
- 200g tender sirloin steak
- 4 slices Cheddar Cheese or Emmental cheese
- Iceberg lettuce, shredded
- Tomato slices
- Red Onion, thinly sliced
- Green peppers, thinly sliced
- Black olives, sliced
The Vinaigrette Dressing:
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
- ½ tsp Dried Oregano
- ¼ tsp Garlic Powder
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Prepare Bread: Slice the sub loaf open lengthwise, leaving a "hinge" at the back.
Base Layer: Layer the meats on the bottom half: meat first Top the meats with Cheddar Cheese or Emmental cheese.
Veggies: On the top half of the bread, layer the lettuce, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, and olives.
Dressing: Whisk the vinaigrette ingredients together. Drizzle generously over the vegetable side of the sandwich.
Close & Cut: Close the sandwich firmly. Slice diagonally in half.
